MNI China Press Digest, Nov 6: Trade Spat, Real Estate

BEIJING (MNI) - The following lists highlights from the Chinese press for
Tuesday:
China is willing to discuss with the U.S. on an acceptable solution for the
two nations' trade conflict, Caixin reported citing Vice President Wang Qishan,
who spoke in Singapore on Tuesday. The current major world issues require close
cooperation between the two countries, which have impact on global development
and stability, Caixin cited Wang as saying. The two countries stand to gain from
cooperation and lose when fighting, Wang said according to Caixin. (Link to

China's real estate industry isn't entering a "cold winter" and the recent
correction is the positive outcome of the crackdown on speculation, the Economic
Daily commented. The prices of homes in 67 out of 70 cities in September were
either flat or have increased slightly from August, and developers are still
enthusiastic about the future, as evidenced in the 9.9% y/y gain in September
real estate investment, the newspaper said. (Link to story:
