MNI: PBOC Provides MLF, Liquidity Unchanged

     BEIJING (MNI) - The People's Bank of China (PBOC) skipped open market
operations (OMOs) for a 30th straight trading day Thursday. The central bank
injected CNY187.5 billion in medium-term lending facilities (MLFs) to offset the
maturity of the same amount of MLFs, leaving liquidity unchanged. No reverse
repos are maturing, according to Wind Information. 
- The 7-day weighted average interbank repo rate for depository institutions
(DR007) increased to 2.6042% at 1005 local time, up from the 2.4309% at the
close Wednesday, Wind data showed.
- The CFETS-NEX money-market sentiment index closed at 35 on Wednesday, down
from 30 on Tuesday.
