MNI: PBOC Skips OMO, Liquidity Unchanged

     BEIJING (MNI) - The People's Bank of China (PBOC) skipped open market
operations (OMOs) for a 34th straight trading day Wednesday, leaving liquidity
unchanged. No reverse repos mature today, according to Wind Information. The
central bank said the level of liquidity in the banking system is at a
reasonable and ample level.
- The 7-day weighted average interbank repo rate for depository institutions
(DR007) increased to 2.6466% at 0936 local time, up from the 2.5826% at the
close of Tuesday, Wind data showed.
- The CFETS-NEX money-market sentiment index closed at 38 on Tuesday, up from
Monday's close of 36.
