US 5-YR FUTURE TECHS: (H18) Bulls Need Close 21-DMA
*RES 4: 115-00 21-DMA
*RES 3: 114-31+ Hourly resistance Feb 6
*RES 2: 114-28+ High Feb 7
*RES 1: 114-24+ High Feb 8
*PRICE: 114-18+ @ 0930GMT
*SUP 1: 114-11+ Low Feb 7
*SUP 2: 114-09+ 2018 Low Feb 6
*SUP 3: 113-29 Bear channel base
*SUP 4: 113-28 Monthly Low Apr 1 2010
*COMMENTARY: Bulls have failed to capitalise on the aggressive rally and bullish
close Tuesday with the contract rejected ahead of 115-22+ resistance and 55-DMA.
Bulls now need a close above the 21-DMA to retain pressure on 115-22+/26+ where
the 55-DMA is noted. Above the 55-DMA is needed to confirm a shift higher in
focus and above 116-06+ to target the 100-DMA (116-10+). Bears remain focused on
the bear channel base while the 21-DMA caps.
US 10-YR FUTURE TECHS: (H18) 121-23/122-20 Resistance Region Key
*RES 4: 122-20 Low Jan 12 now resistance
*RES 3: 122-05+ Hourly resistance Feb 6a
*RES 2: 121-23 Hourly resistance Feb 6
*RES 1: 121-09 Hourly resistance Feb 7
*PRICE: 120-28 @ 0930GMT
*SUP 1: 120-17 2018 Low Feb 8
*SUP 2: 120-15+ Bollinger band base
*SUP 3: 119-24 Low Apr 21 2011
*SUP 4: 118-24 Low Apr 13 2011
*COMMENTARY: Bulls failed to capitalise on the bullish key day reversal with the
contract rejected ahead of 122-20 and remaining heavy. The break below 121-10+
reconfirmed initial focus to 2018 lows and then below 120-17 to target the
117-29/119-24 support region where levels last seen in 2011 are noted. Bulls
need a close above 121-23+ to gain breathing room and above 122-20 to shift
initial focus to 123-05+/20 where the 55-DMA (123-07+) is noted.
US 30-YR FUTURE TECHS: (H18) Bears Focused On 140-08/142-11
*RES 4: 147-27 21-DMA
*RES 3: 147-20 Daily Bear channel top
*RES 2: 146-12 High Feb 6
*RES 1: 144-31 High Feb 7
*PRICE: 143-26 @ 0930GMT
*SUP 1: 143-20 2018 Low Feb 8
*SUP 2: 143-08 Daily Bear channel base
*SUP 3: 142-11 Weekly Low Dec 2014
*SUP 4: 140-08 Weekly Low Nov 2014
*COMMENTARY: Bulls have failed to capitalise on the bullish key day reversal
with the contract rejected ahead of the 21-DMA and bears currently focused on
the 140-08/142-11 support region where weekly lows in 2014 are located. Layers
of resistance accumulating adds weight to the bearish case. Bulls now need a
close above 144-31 to ease bearish pressure and above 146-12 to shift focus back
to layers of resistance 147-20/148-11.
US EURODOLLAR TECHS: (H18) Bears Focused On 97.820
*RES 4: 98.160 Highs Jan 22-24
*RES 3: 98.145 High Feb 6
*RES 2: 98.126 21-DMA
*RES 1: 98.100 Lows Feb 2 & 5 now resistance
*PRICE: 98.045 @ 0930GMT
*SUP 1: 98.045 2018 Low Feb 8
*SUP 2: 97.820 Weekly Low Nov 2008
*SUP 3: 97.580 Weekly Low Nov 2008
*SUP 4: 97.480 Weekly High Oct 2008 now support
*COMMENTARY: The contract remains heavy with bears now focused on the 97.820
support last seen in 2008 with a close below to confirm focus on tests of the
97.480-580 support region. Bulls now look for a close above 98.100 to ease
bearish pressure and above 98.160 to shift focus back to 98.179-190 where an
bear channel top and 55-DMA are located.
