Month-end Models Point to USD Buying for September

FOREX
  • On month-end FX rebalancing flows, sell-side models see a firm USD-buying bias against all majors in G10 for September.
  • Credit Agricole flag the strongest USD buy signal as being against CAD, with signals more mild elsewhere. Separately, their corporate flow model points to EUR buying - which they incorporate into USD buying against a weighted basket of currencies.
  • Barclays and Citi's passive month-end models similarly point to USD buying into month-end.
