CHINA: National Development and Reform Commission said on Monday that it will
allow foreign banks and Sino-foreign joint venture banks in China to borrow more
via overseas financing. The NDRC will expand the quota of overseas financing in
accordance with the need of the economic and financial situation, it announced
on its website Monday.
- Meanwhile, foreign banks are required to use the funds raised to support the
real economy in particular industries, in line with national industrial
strategies, in order to promote the country's industrial upgrade and supply-side
structural reform, the NDRC said.
