New Fortress Energy expects to start operations at a second LNG plant in Altamira, Mexico, in H1 2027, BNamericas reported.

  • NFE began shipping LNG from an offshore liquefaction plant in the Gulf of Mexico in August 2024.
  • FLNG2 will have the same 1.4m mtpa nameplate capacity as FLNG1 and is being developed in partnership with state-owned power company CFE.
