No Freeport LNG Update in Latest Press Release

Freeport LNG released results of a third-party report Tuesday on the failures that led to its June 8 pipeline explosion which has caused it to cease operations since.

  • There were no indications as part of the press release when the facility may restart. News wires quoted sources this week who said that they expected repairs to drag out to the end of the year. Freeport LNG had said in recent weeks that they expected operations to return in November but market sentiment around that possibility is dwindling.
  • Freeport LNG released press releases Friday and Monday to dispute what is called ‘fake news’ around cracked pipeline and repair delay rumors.
