PCK Schwedt Refinery To Undergo Maintenance in April, May

Germany's Schwedt refinery will undergo major maintenance in April and May that will cut utilisation to less than 50%, a state secretary said.

  • The revision of the refinery, which supplies most of Berlin, has been long scheduled and is not related to current utilisation problems stemming from the ban of Russian oil, Michael Kellner, state secretary in the Economy Ministry said.
  • Utilisation of the refinery is expected to fall under 50% during April and May.
  • The refinery currently operates at around 60% of capacity.
