Potential End To The UAW Strikes As GM Reach Tentative Agreement

  • General Motors is said to have reached a tentative agreement with the UAW to end its strike.
  • GM, which quickly saw gains of almost 2% in pre-market trading on the headlines, had been the last holdout in talks with UAW having failed to reach a deal to end the six-week strike.
  • It follows Stellantis NV reaching a tentative agreement with the UAW on Saturday, which as Bloomberg reported “included the same 25% hourly pay raise plus cost-of-living allowances over the more-than-four-year contract included in a similar deal reached by Ford Motor Co. last week. Those agreements still need to be voted on by the companies’ union members.”
