Prelude Loads First LNG Cargo Since Mid August

The Orion Bohemia has loaded the first cargo from the 3.6mtpa Prelude plant off Australia since mid-August according to ICIS.

  • The vessel departed on 27 December heading north towards Asia.
  • Shell began extensive maintenance at the facility in August which was initially expected to last two months. Shell indicated the restart of LNG production earlier in December.
  • Another Shell vessel, the Orion Jessica, is near Prelude and could load a second cargo soon.
