The UK current account narrowed by much less than anticipated in Q2, as 
the trade gap widened in comparison with the previous estimate. However, 
the Q1 current account shortfall was revised higher from the 
originally-reported Stg30.1bn, leaving the deficit as a percentage of 
GDP at its highest level since Q3 2016. The increased trade deficit cut 
its positive contribution to GDP to 2.6pp from the originally reported 
3.5pp.
