EURO-DOLLAR
EURO-DOLLAR: Rate falls afoul of the broader, albeit limited, USD strength that
has crept in over the last hour or so, to last trade 25 pips lower on the day at
$1.0945, registering a fresh cycle low in the process.
- A leg below the 10-dma at $1.0944 would have bears looking to the May 15 2017
low at $1.0923. Bulls need to reclaim $1.1000 to regain some composure.
- Italian politics remain in focus, with M5S party members set to vote on the
question of "Do you agree that the M5S should form a government together with
the PD, chaired by Giuseppe Conte?" on Tuesday. The latest LA7/SWG poll showed
that 69% of PD voters are in favour of forming a new gov't with M5S, compared
with 51% of M5S voters supporting such a move.
