EURO-SWISS TECHS: Recently we highlighted some key technical factors in EURCHF.
It is worth revisiting these:
- The 50-day EMA is a reliable trend indicator. In the case of EURCHF, the slope
of the average is negative suggesting the primary downtrend remains intact.
- Furthermore, the EMA also highlights an area of resistance. It currently
intersects at 1.0581. During the period Apr 28 - 30, the EMA successfully
contained a recovery and prices have since pulled back.
- The recent late Apr high of 1.0612 has been defined as a key S/T risk
parameter. While it holds, attention is on a test of key support near 1.0500.
- The support to watch is 1.0508, Apr 16 low. A break would expose 1.0500 and
note that a breach of 1.0500 would represent a significant technical break.
