by softer auto sales after Sep hurricane-driven surge.

holiday shopping.
-Of past 20 November reports, headline retail sales have been underestimated 11
times and ex-auto underestimated 12 times, suggesting a risk of a possible
upside surprise.
-Control group to show continued strength in consumption feeding into Q4 GDP.
