Russia Top Supplier of Crude to India October

Russia became India’s top crude supplier in October, providing the highest ever volume in a month and overtaking traditional top supplier Iraq and Saudi Arabia according to Vortexa.

  • Russia supplied 946,000 barrels per day of crude to India in October accounting for 22% of India’s crude imports in October.
  • Iraq was responsible for 20.5% of India’s imports while Saudi Arabia made up 16%.
  • Compared to September, India’s overall crude imports rose by 5% in October while those from Russia rose 8%.
