Russian Gas Output 8.3% Higher y/y Jan-Jun

Russia's natural gas output rose by 8.3% y/y from January-June to 357.3 billion cubic metres (bcm) according to Kommersant reports citing someone familiar with energy ministry data.

  • Russian natural gas output increased by 9.5% in June from a year earlier to almost 49 bcm. Gazprom increased exports and a heatwave boosted demand for electricity Kommersant said.
