US DATA: Sept final demand PPI +0.2% overall and +0.2% ex food and 
energy, both as expected on gains in final demand services and 
trade and despite declines in goods. PPI ex. food, energy, and trade 
services +0.4%. 
- The overall y/y rate of inflation declined in Sept to +2.6% from +2.8% 
in Aug, while PPI ex. food and energy +2.5% y/y, up from +2.3% 
in Aug. PPI ex, food, energy, and trade services unchanged from +2.9% 
y/y.
- Energy prices -0.8% in the month on declines in residetial fuel, 
gasoline, and electric power, while trade services +0.1%, and food 
prices -0.6%.
- The personal consumption price measures, often used to preview CPI 
and PCE prices was +0.1% overall, +0.2% ex. food and energy, and +0.3% 
ex. food, energy, and trade services, with y/y gains all still above 2%.
