EQUITIES
EQUITIES: Shortly following the open and inline with equity futures this
morning, the three main Wall Street indices are lower, with the Dow Jones
slightly underperforming. In futures space, the price action was volatile at the
open but the E-mini S&P is already off the day's lows. Early doors, just 5
stocks in the 500 names in the S&P are in the green, with all ten sectors in the
red. Utilities and energy are the poorest performers, with consumer staples at
the top of the board, but still lower by around 3%.
- Certain pharma names remain resilient, with Gilead Sciences and Regeneron
Pharmaceuticals and Clorox among the few stocks in the green. Boeing is a
standout having fallen particularly sharply at the open and down over 20%. Hotel
names are falling sharply also with Hilton and Marriott 15-20%.
- For 1st E-mini S&P futures the limit down levels now lie at:
7% down 2342.50
13% down 2191.00
20% down 2014.00
