MIDEAST: SYRIA - President Bashar al Assad has removed Prime Minister Imad
Khamis from his post. The administration has cited the ongoing economic crisis
in Syria as the reason for Khamis' removal. 
- The presidential decree does not identify an successor to Khamis.
- The city of Suweida, populated primarily by Druze Syrians, experienced
protests in recent days in response to the country's deteriorating economic
conditions. Suweida has largely avoided conflict from the Syrian Civil War,
while Syria's Druze population had previously been largely supportive of
President Assad.
