T-Notes Tick Off Friday's Lows

US TSYS

T-Notes off their late Friday lows, aided by the light downtick in the e-mini space that we have flagged and given some colour around in earlier bullets. Contract printing -0-01 at 131-23+, with a recent 2.0K screen lift providing the most notable round of flow in the early goings.

  • As a reminder, underperformance in the 7- 10-Year sector of the cash curve was seen on Friday, with that area of the curve experiencing cheapening of ~4.0bp on the day come the close, with the uptick in the equity space overpowering any inference from mixed domestic data.
  • Monday's Asia-Pac session provides a limited start to the Easter-shortened week, at least in terms of the economic docket, meaning that the broader market tone and headline flow is set to dominate during Asia-Pac hours. Domestic focus continues to fall on fiscal/infrastructure spending matters, with President Biden set to make an address on Wednesday.
