US TSYS
US TSYS: T-Notes ticked lower in Asia hours, but the contract remains confined
to a 0-05+ tick range, last -0-04 at 128-06. Little news flow of real stature,
with Trump's brashness re: potential Senate procedures surrounding impeachment
portrayed in a tweet, as he called for an immediate trial.
- Elsewhere BBG sources stated that "CHINA'S XI PLANS TO SKIP DAVOS, DEFLATING
HOPE FOR TRUMP SUMMIT,' but the piece did also suggest that China still plans to
send Liu He to DC in Jan to sign the phase 1 trade deal. Nonetheless, the story
helped the space off lows. Yields sit little changed across the curve as we head
into European hours.
- The 2-/10-Year yield spread holds below 30bp, after having a look above that
level on Thursday, registering fresh YtD highs in the process.
- The only real flow of note was 22.5K block buying of the TYG0 127.50/126.50
put spread vs. TYG0 129.50 calls, with the package trading at 0-04 & 0-06 over 2
separate clips.
- Q3 final GDP, Nov PCE data, Kansas City Fed m'fing data and final UoM
sentiment readings will all hit on Friday.
