OIL

Daily production at Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan fell to 39,000 tons, down from the usual 84,000 tons due to lower oil reception at the CPC oil terminal amid the halt in loadings, Shyngys Ilyasov, advisor to Energy Minister, said, cited by Interfax.

  • The CPC terminal has been accepting oil at reduced rates due to nearly full crude storage levels at the terminal.
  • The CPC and the Novorossiysk facility temporarily halted crude loadings because of the storm, their operators said in separate statements Monday.
  • A break in the storm may allow the Novorossiysk terminal to temporarily resume loadings on Tuesday, Transneft said, cited by Bloomberg.
