FOREX: The Dollar was marginally better bid against many of its peers in the
Asia-Pacific region amid earlier reports that after a meeting with Trump, a
hawkish John Taylor had firmed in the betting-odds as a real contender for the
position of Fed-chair. Dollar-yen made a marginal new high of Y112.31 before
easing to Y112.04. Euro-dollar eased from $1.1800 to form a fresh low of
$1.1775. Aussie faded from $0.7859 to $0.7835. Little reaction was seen to RBA's
October meeting minutes, although modestly upbeat. Despite better-than-expected
Q3 CPI, Kiwi dropped from $0.7203 to $0.7163. Meanwhile, cable consolidated
between $1.3235 and $1.3266 ahead of September CPI data due for release in the
coming session.
