US TSYS: The iMoneyNet's Money Fund Report said "US money-market fund assets
rose $10.95 billion for the week ending Aug. 1. "The 7-day average yield of
Prime Institutional funds, after hovering for several weeks within a few basis
points of the 1.00 percent mark, finally reached that significant threshold for
the first time since Jan. 13, 2009 when it sat at 1.08 percent," it said.
- It also added that "total fund assets settled at $2.621 trillion for the week.
Taxable money-fund assets increased $10.72 billion to $2.490 trillion.
Government Institutional fund assets were up by $12.53 billion. Prime
Institutional fund assets slipped by $2.50 billion. Taxable Retail fund assets
were up by $685.6 million. Tax-Free fund assets gained $231.2 million, raising
their total to $130.23 billion."
