DOLLAR-CANADA: The loonie has garnered attention in early dealing this week as
the war of words between US President Trump & Canadian PM Trudeau escalated over
the weekend after Trump refused to sign the official G7 communique.
- USDCAD has printed a high of 1.3009 thus far, falling short of Friday's
intraday high (1.3020) after crossing above hourly resistance (1.2985/1.2995).
The pair now deals back below these levels at 1.2975. Support is noted at the
June 08 low (1.2922) followed by the initial recovery high from June 06
(1.2901).
- With lower tier data due throughout the week CAD is set to trade off of
broader risk sentiment & trade matters.
