STOCKS: The major Asia-Pacific equity indices are mixed in early trading this
week.

incumbent in the national elections, with financials leading the way higher,
followed by real-estate related names.
- Chinese linked equities languished, with the latest round of trade war fear,
as well as worries surrounding corruption (after the former CSRC head was put
under investigation) weighed on sentiment.
- The Nikkei 225 was supported by a stronger than expected GDP print, however,
the details of the release were a little more mixed than the headline.
- Nikkei 225 +0.3%, Hang Seng -0.5%, CSI 300 -0.8%, ASX 200 +1.6%.
- U.S. equity index futures edged higher.
- S&P 500 futures +9 points, DJIA futures +79 points, NASDAQ 100 futures +26
points.
