GOLD: The precious metal had a very quiet European morning session with the
price trading in a tight range of $1262.69-1265.08. The arrival of New York
witnessed a fresh wave of demand jumping from $1263.25 to fresh session highs of
$1265.34 before fading. The move was thought to be order driven and not dollar
related.
- As US Tsys Yields and the dollar spike, the precious metal has come under
pressure with the price dropping sharply from $1263.58 to pullback lows of
$1261.11.
- The precious metal comes under a fresh wave of pressure as the dollar gains
against the yen and US Tsys Yields rally further, the price re-tested the Asia
low of $1260.32 before bouncing back over $1261.00.
- The dollar had a fresh wave of demand ahead of the tax vote and US Tsys Yields
continued to rally, the yellow metal dropped to fresh session lows of $1259.36
before grinding back over $1261.00.
