DOLLAR-YEN: The pullback off European traded highs (Y112.88) extended to Y112.60
in early NY, before fading. Support remains at Y112.53/46 (Asia low, Dec13 low).
Usd/Jpy last Y112.68. Focus turns to the release of US Retail Sales and Weekly
Jobless Claims at the bottom of the hour. Retail sales are forecast to rise by
0.3% in November after a modest 0.2% increase in October. The level of initial
jobless claims is expected to rise by 3,000 to 239,000 in the December 9 week
after a decrease of 2,000 in the previous week. Also, ECB President Draghi is
scheduled to begin his press conference at the same time.
