UK: The UK ONS have announced some detail behind how they will attempt to
collect and collate economic data in these changed times. The main line of note
for Gilt traders is that the BOE -- required by statute -- have deemed none of
the planned temporary changes outlined "were both fundamental changes to the
coverage or basic calculation of the RPI, and also materially detrimental to the
holders of relevant index-linked gilts". As a result, the ONS notes,
Chancellor's consent is not required to implement these temporary changes.
