GOLD: The yellow metal has edged higher in early trade this week, last sitting
$2 or so better off at $1,508/oz.
- Friday's intraday volatility saw a marginal break of the recent lows, with
Friday's trough now providing the initial point of support.
- The latest round of Chinese trade data revealed that China's gold holdings
rose to 62.45mn fine troy oz, up from the 62.26mn seen at the end of July.
