US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are higher as oil tumbles and equities remain shaky,
ahead of Wednesday's key FOMC decision.
- Mar 19 T-Note futures up 8/32 at 120-295, at day's high. Growing expectations
of a dovish Fed Wednesday (EDH9 at 97.28, hit 97.29, highest since May).
- Big rally in the belly of the curve, but strength all the way down: 2-Yr yield
is down 3.5bps at 2.6564%, 5-Yr is down 4.4bps at 2.6494%, 10-Yr is down 3.8bps
at 2.8192%, and 30-Yr is down 3.4bps at 3.0785%.
- 1s2s inverted briefly (-0.145%), last at 0.325%.
- WTI down 2.6% at $48.57, lowest since Sep 2017; S&P E-mini futures roughly
flat on the day now. Dollar lower, DXY index down 0.4% at 96.75.
- Data highlights are Nov housing starts and building permits out at 0830ET.
