US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are off day's worst levels but continue to soften
Wednesday, with a few key days of Fed communications ahead.
- Sep 10-Yr futures (TY) down 8.5/32 at 130-15 (L: 130-10.5 / H: 130-25), with
the cash curve a little steeper: 2-Yr yield up 2.6bps at 1.5385%, 5-Yr up 2.9bps
at 1.4621%, 10-Yr up 3bps at 1.5859%, and 30-Yr up 2.9bps at 2.0661%.
- Eurodollars off lows but still down 4-4.5 ticks in Reds thru Golds.
- Minn Fed Pres Kashkari in an FT column called for FOMC Forward Guidance to be
changed `now` to commit at a minimum to not raising rates until inflation is
sustainably back to 2%.
- Kashkari also has panel appearance after the markets close at 1830ET.
- Fed Jul Minutes (1400ET) is the key release of the day, though Jackson Hole
Thu-Sat incl Fed Chair Powell's keynote will be more keenly watched.
