US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are trading slightly higher early Wednesday, ahead
of the FOMC decision later.
- Jun 19 T-Note futures up 3/32 at 122-275, having traded in a range of 122-230
to 122-29.
- Bull flattening in the curve: 2-Yr yield is down 0.8bps at 2.4602%, 5-Yr is
down 1.5bps at 2.4103%, 10-Yr is down 1.6bps at 2.5961%, and 30-Yr is down
1.2bps at 3.0103%.
- Tsys fairly flat in the overnight Asia session, picking up steam early in
Europe amid some negative news for German equities (BMW). Futures off a tick at
0705ET on news that the E.U. would find Google E1.5bln over ad contracts.
- Highlight of the day of course is the FOMC decision later (1400ET/1800GMT),
with Powell press conference to follow (1430ET/1830GMT).
- Immediate focus on downgrades to the FOMC's Dot Plot, but many analysts also
expect news on ending balance sheet-runoff.
