US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries have traded sideways early Tuesday following
Monday`s slow grind lower, amid limited data/newsflow.
- Jun 10-Yr futures (TY) up 1.5/32 at 123-16 (L: 123-13 / H: 123-17.5).
- Tsys dived briefly around 0440ET on reports that Germany`s Merkel was willing
to allow a 5-Yr limit on the Irish backstop, potentially relieving the logjam on
the Brexit vote in the UK parliament - but this was swiftly denied by Germany.
- Cash yields a bit lower. 2-Yr yield is down 1bps at 2.3517%, 5-Yr down 0.5bps
at 2.3223%, 10-Yr down 0.7bps at 2.515%, and 30-Yr down 0.7bps at 2.9203%.
- Curves mixed: 3M10Y -0.799 at 9.484, 2Y10Y +0.288 at 16.12, 5Y30Y -0.377 at
59.464.
- Very quiet today on the data front. NFIB small business index came in at 101.8
in March vs 101.7 Feb, unsurprisingly not a market mover. Feb JOLTS up later.
- US TSY $38B 3Y note auction at 1300ET.
- CPI and FOMC minutes ahead on Wednesday.
