US TSYS/STOCKS: Treasuries see dip buying as US stocks soften; cash 10Y yield is
at 2.479%: now it has re-broken below the 2.48% tech level, so turned marginally
technially positive after prior sour outlook when it nearly hit a major level of
2.50% yield
- The Nasdaq stock index started sliding just before 9:45am ET, and now just
above the session lows. Stocks also hurt as was a morning huge 36.4K S&P Eminis
sale ($4.6B nominal value) amid VIX action, sell-stops, according to Stifel
research. DJIA index meanwhile saw consumer discretionary, I/T and healthcare
and consumer stocks lower, while industrials gained and so did telecomm stocks.
