TTF Recovers After 22% Fall Since Mid Last Week

TTF front month finding some support today after falling about 18% from a peak at 137.5€/MWh last week. Temperatures in NW Europe are gradually following the seasonal decline, but weather forecasts are still showing temperatures above normal throughout the two week forecast period.

    • TTF DEC 22 up 3% at 113€/MWh
  • Pipeline supplies into Europe are holding steady with supplies through Ukraine at 42.4mcm/d and Norwegian flows at 312.4mcm/d. Norwegian supply is slightly down on last week with short term works at Oseberg and Elgin Franklin reducing flows into Europe and UK today.
  • LNG supplies remain strong with total supplies into Europe up from 380mcm/d early last week to around 430mcm/d late last week and into the weekend.
  • European storage levels continue to edge higher and now up to 95.3% compared to the five-year average pre winter peak at 89%. Germany is at 99.54%, Italy at 95.49%, France at 99.96%, and Netherlands at 91.93%.
