The UK jobless rate fell slightly to 3.8% in September, beating 
expectations looking for an unchanged 3.9%. After last month's downtick, 
the overall employment rate edged higher in Jul-Sep. However, there are 
signs of underlying weakness with the annual fall in vaccancies being 
the strongest since Oct-Dec 2009. Meanwhile, earnings decelerated from 
summer highs, although lower inflation rates underpin real earnings.
