US Crude Stockpiles Likely Unchanged: WSJ

US crude oil inventories are expected to be largely stable on the week when the EIA released the data Oct. 25, based on a WSJ survey.

  • The average estimated change across ten analysts and traders surveyed by the WSJ is a rise of 10k bbl.
  • Four forecasters are predicting a decrease, with six expecting an increase. The expectations ranged from a 3m bbl increase to a 2.2m bbl increase.
  • Based on the survey, gasoline inventories will fall by 0.3m bbl, with the range of responses from a 2.5m bbl fall to a 1.5m bbl rise.
  • Distillate stocks are expected to fall by 1.1m bbl, with a range of responses between a 2.9m bbl fall to a 1.1m bbl rise.
