Fox News has issued its projection that the Republicans will control the Senate after the election, no matter the outcome of the presidential race. With Bernie Moreno winning Ohio's seat from Democrat Sherrod Brown, the call that incumbent GOP Senator Deb Fischer has defeated independent  Dan Osborn in Nebraska would be enough to give the Republicans 51 seats in the US Senate. This would be enough to control the chamber even without a tie-breaking vote from a GOP vice president.
