DOLLAR-CANADA
DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD last C$1.3351, virtually unchanged on the day, with CAD
was limited by Sino-Canadian tensions as China admitted investigating Canadian
entrepreneur Michael Spavor on alleged state security violations, the second
Canadian to be detained in China in recent days.
- WTI posted marginal gains overnight, holding above $51/barrel, while
developments re: the global supply glut remain a factor to watch.
- Bulls look to C$1.3398 representing Wednesday's intraday high and a break
above that level would open up the Dec 11 high/upper Bollinger band (2%) at
C$1.3424/28. Conversely, bears eye yesterday's lows of C$1.3323 before
challenging the Dec 10 low at C$1.3293.
