DOLLAR-YEN: USD/JPY moved higher on Wednesday afternoon, in lockstep with U.S,
yields after sticking to a tight range in early dealing, as the language
employed in the FOMC's Sep meeting minutes allowed U.S. yields to rise
facilitating some modest curve steepening.
- Rate last deals at ~Y112.70, after registering a high of Y112.72 in early
Asia-Pacific dealing.
- Y112.00 & the 50-DMA (Y111.91) provide initial support, while initial
resistance is noted at the 21-DMA.
- A speech from BOJ Gov. Kuroda provides the highlight of the domestic docket
today.
