DOLLAR-YEN: USD/JPY seems happy to oscillate within a tight range ahead of the
festive holidays, last 1 tick lower at Y109.39.
- Initial resistance at 109.73, the Dec 2 high, while initial support lies at
Y109.15, the 21-DMA.
- Focus continues to fall on the upcoming BoJ Rinban ops covering JGBs with
5-25+ Years to maturity, scheduled for Christmas day. There is increased
speculation from various desks that the BoJ may taper long end purchases.
