USD/JPY Testing Lower In Early Dealings

JPY

USD/JPY is tracking lower in the first part of the Asia Pac session. We currently sit just above session lows (132.17), last in the 132.20/25 region. This was sub NY session lows from Monday, albeit just, with not much follow through. Still the USD is mostly tracking lower against the majors in the first part of trade today, with yen slightly outperforming. This is very much a carry over from NY trade, as US yields fell post the ISM miss. Otherwise, cross asset signals are fairly muted in early dealings today.

  • In terms of levels, March 27 highs came in around 131.75/80, while below that sits the March 29 low around 130.76.
