YEN: USDJPY took out reported barrier interest at 110.00 on Wednesday, but now
trades back at 109.65, after the broader USD weakness played out in Asia-Pacific
dealing with Tokyo on holiday.
- EURJPY trades at ~131.40, while AUDJPY trades at ~82.50.
- USDJPY Bulls take comfort in the closes above the 100-WMA (109.48) with
immediate bullish focus on 110.22-49 where the 200-DMA & 55-WMA are located.
Bears still need a close below the 100-WMA to gain breathing room and hint at a
correction back to 108.54-97 where the 100-DMA (108.76) is found.
- EURJPY's close below the 55-DMA (131.48) adds weight to the bearish case with
bears now needing a close below the April 05 low (131.05). The 55-DMA now forms
initial resistance but bulls need a close above hourly resistance from April 30
(132.23) to gain breathing room.
- AUDJPY's 55-DMA (82.70) capped the pair last week, with bears now looking for
a close below 81.90 to shift focus back to the YtD lows. Bulls now need a close
above the 21-DMA (82.73) to ease bearish pressure & shift focus higher.
