FOREX: Weaker yen was the main theme during the Asia-Pacific session, with
reports that Abe's ruling coalition party is in-line to win 312 seats and exceed
a two-thirds majority, giving Abe's LDP party the mandate to continue with
existing fiscal expansion and pro-growth structural reforms. Dollar-yen opened
higher at Y113.65 and pushed through the Y114 handle to a fresh top of Y114.10
before fading. Euro-dollar eased from $1.1777 to $1.1751, with Catalan/Spain
concerns seen to weigh. Catalan's parliament is said to convene in the comings
days and discuss  how to respond to the Spanish government's decision to impose
direct rule. Aussie-dollar trekked lower from $0.7823 to $0.7802 before
recovering as commodity prices rose and US rate yields dipped into negative
territory. Aussie was last at $0.7820. Meanwhile, Cable traded between $1.3169
and $1.3200 and was last at $1.3197.
