WTI Apr23 Option Expiry – Thurs 16th March 23 at 14:30 ET close
- A total of 426kbbls open April 23 options positions on CME and ICE are due to expire against the April future close tomorrow. Current aggregate open interest is 261k calls and 165k puts.
- The open interest across all WTI options on both exchanges is currently 1.80m calls and 1.00m puts.
- With very few open call option positions down at these market levels, the closest strike price of interest is in the 70$/bbl puts. Puts volumes also sit further away from current market levels at 65$/bbl and 75$/bbl.
