OIL
OIL: WTI & Brent trade $0.20 and $0.30 higher respectively, after the benchmarks
lodged modest gains on Wednesday.
- Volatility crept into crude markets around the release of the latest DoE
weekly inventory data, which revealed a larger than expected build in headline
crude stocks, while gasoline and distillate inventories experienced a larger
than exp. drawdown.
- On the supply front, Nigeria's Bonny oil pipeline is expected to restart on
Friday, while Argus sources suggested that supplies from Libya's Sharara
oilfield (currently producing ~80K bpd vs. capacity of ~300K bpd) could restart
as early as Saturday.
