OIL
OIL: WTI hovered around $61.00, with Brent trading ~$65.00 in Asian hours,
largely unchanged on the day.
- Crude benefitted from geopolitical worry re: US-China trade sanctions, after a
larger than expected headline build in DoE headline crude inventories & OPEC
upgrading their estimate of non-cartel production initially weighed on oil on
Wednesday (although the breakdown of the inventory data was more encouraging,
with larger than expected draws for both Gasoline & Distillates).
