Zloty Tad Firmer After Market Holiday

EUR/PLN trades -41 pips at PLN4.5863 as Polish markets re-open after a public holiday. From a technical perspective, the focus is on May 30, 2022 low of PLN4.5599. Conversely, bulls take aim at the 20-EMA, which intersects at PLN4.6142.

  • POLGBs are mostly firmer across the curve, albeit 10s underperform and last trade 1.2bp cheaper. The WIG20 index is little changed on the day.
  • The NBP said that Polish lenders expect to tighten criteria for all kinds of loans in Q2. The central bank's survey showed that lenders also expect further decline in demand for long-term corporate loans and further increase in demand for mortgages, consumer loans and short-term loans for companies.
